PitSkill is our brand new and exclusive Driver Rating System, automatically managed on our Discord Server where we compare your driving to that of the best drivers in Assetto Corsa Competizione, allowing for you to always find close, clean racing in our Assetto Corsa Competizione leagues, championships and events!

Race4Rating
ThePitCrew: PitSkill

This system currently only works in Assetto Corsa Competizione, working across all classes of cars, GT3, Porsche Cup, Super Trofeo and GT4, with the possibility of it being deployed for our Assetto Corsa drivers too dependant on demand, this expands on our daily races system on Assetto Corsa Competizione, where you can race and constantly improve your PitSkill rating in our community!

What is PitSkill?

PitSkill compares your rating to the best drivers in Assetto Corsa Competizione that we have in our database over 3 completed events, to begin with, eventually expanding to your “best” 5 completed events, so even if you race in a daily race with people 5 seconds slower than you, it won’t matter, as we use the skill levels globally to ensure you are placed in championship groups in our weekly leagues and events that match your skill level!

How do I get my PitSkill?

Join our discord server and read our getting started guide for more information!

The PitSkill system is exclusive to ThePitCrew and works across every single Assetto Corsa Competizione race that we run on our partnered platform, SimRacing.gp only including members of our community, once you race on 3 separate tracks, you’ll pick up an initial PitSkill rating and, the more you race, the more accurate it will be!

All you have to do, is race in any race with “PitSkill” at the front of it, as these are open events to any driver within the community on SimRacing.gp, all races count towards your PitSkill rating.

Can I lose my rank?

You are not able to be de-ranked at the moment unless a heavy BoP change comes in from Kunos which requires us to reset your PitSkill and re-evaluate you.

How do I increase my PitSkill?

It’s straightforward to increase your PitSkill, drive clean, fair and fast, just as you would in any other league race, and you’ll slowly start to increase your PitSkill rating when you earn a new rank; the bot in Discord will let you know!

What ratings are available?

Right now the following ratings are available for you to be categorised into, these are all depicted by a tag at the end of your name on our Discord Server.

Pro Split

[AL] – Alien – The best of the best drivers in the community.
[GM] – Grand Master – Has mastered the art of racing, but is not quite an alien yet.
[M] – Master – Is right at the top of the rankings and is usually fighting for the podium.
[PLA] – Platinum – A driver who is very solid and is usually fighting amongst the best.

Silver Split

[GLD] – Gold – A driver who is a solid mid-pack runner, but is just missing out on getting into pros.
[SIL] – Silver – A driver who is a solid mid-pack runner and usually finishes high in the mid-pack.
[BRZ] – Bronze – A driver who does well in the mid-pack.

Amateur Split

[AM] – Amateur – A newer driver/driver who has raced for a while and is on their way to fighting amongst faster drivers.
[RK] – Rookie – A newer driver that is developing their skillset and is looking to improve their racing!
[BEG] – Beginner – A new driver who is just starting their journey to make their way up the rankings and improve their stats!

Special Ratings

[UR] – Unranked – Has not yet received a rank.
[NR] – No Races – Has completed the pre-requisites, but hasn’t competed in a race yet.

What’s a Split?

A Split is used for our championship leagues and events and is based on our rating system as defined above, these are then used to put you in the correct class in our leagues, so you are always fighting with drivers around a similar level as yourself for points!

What is this PitSkill for?

The PitSkill system is in place to ensure our racing is fair, clean and close all the way throughout our leagues and championships, allowing us to continue improving our racing quality and push more of that “better racing” which we’re looking to bring to the Assetto Corsa Competizione racing community.

Will my rating change at all?

Depending on the number of drivers in each rating, your rating may go up or down, this is to ensure that there is a balanced level of drivers in each split when it comes to our Assetto Corsa Competizione championships.

What about incidents?

Incidents are managed as any other post-race incidents are managed in our community, for full details please ensure to read our rules and regulations for information on how to report drivers in PitSkill races and what the punishments are, we use the PitSkill system to also ensure that any drivers that get into our leagues are safe, clean drivers, so ensure you report ANY drivers which you feel breach our rules!

This is in place to ensure that drivers are driving clean and fair and are not pushing themselves to the limits to try and improve their PitSkill, but are rather following our community ethos of clean, close racing.

What leagues can I join?

Starting in Season 7, the following leagues are open to drivers to join:

Unrated Drivers

Unrated Drivers are able to join the Beginners cup, although if you are then rated above the AM split, you will have to serve Qualifying Bans for the remainder of the championship to prove you are able to drive amongst other cars cleanly.

Beginners

Beginner drivers are required to first improve their ranking via the Beginners Cup with runs on sundays.

AM Split

You are able to join every event, although we recommend you join the Beginners Cup on Sundays!

Silver+ Split

You are able to join all events aside from the Beginners cup as this is specifically tailored for drivers who are new to the game, each event will have the information on that specific event on our discord/SimRacing.gp for which car/class you must pick.

Great! How do I get involved?

Simple, head on over to our discord and read our “Getting Started” channel for more information, you will need to be signed up to our new partnered platform to join and get ranked!

Special thank you to Dale from New World Sim Racing for helping to develop the system, if you’d like to race in an American Timezone league, check them out here: https://discord.gg/48q3fVjg
