PitSkill is our brand new and exclusive Driver Rating System for 2021, automatically managed on our Discord Server where we compare your driving to that of the best drivers in Assetto Corsa Competizione, allowing for you to always find close, clean racing in our Assetto Corsa Competizione leagues, championships and events!

We’re also using PitSkill as our brand new system of running casual events, for those who are unable to commit to a full championship, this means, veteran drivers and beginners alike will be able to drive within the community and meet new drivers to race with, you can sign up now to any of our PitSkill open series now!

Frequently Asked Questions

Race4Rating
ThePitCrew: PitSkill

This system currently only works in Assetto Corsa Competizione, working across all classes of cars, GT3, Porsche Cup, Super Trofeo and GT4, with the possibility of it being deployed for our Assetto Corsa drivers too dependant on demand, this expands on our daily races system on Assetto Corsa Competizione, where you can race and constantly improve your PitSkill rating in our community!

What is PitSkill?

PitSkill compares your rating to the best drivers in Assetto Corsa Competizione that we have in our database, so even if you race in a daily race with people 5 seconds slower than you, it won’t matter, as we use the skill levels globally to ensure you are placed in championship groups in our weekly leagues and events that match your skill level!

Requirements to get a PitSkill Rating:

  1. Join our discord server: https://discord.gg/pWNZwMcHAS
  2. Sign-up to our partner platform SimRacing.gp
  3. Join our community: https://beta.simracing.gp/communities/1772eUSJzLnh64svJwv7f#about
  4. Race in a minimum of 1 of our PitSkill Series events on Assetto Corsa Competizione: https://beta.simracing.gp/communities/1772eUSJzLnh64svJwv7f#series
  5. Await your rank being updated, this may take more than 1 races to update based on if you met the cut-off lap times or not.

Can I lose my rank?

No, your rank may go upwards or downwards depending on your abilities, however, it should settle after a while.

How do I increase my PitSkill?

It’s straightforward to increase your PitSkill, drive clean, fair and fast, just as you would in any other league race, and you’ll slowly start to increase your PitSkill rating when you earn a new rank; the bot in Discord will let you know!

What ratings are available?

You’re rated based on your raw PitSkill number the higher this number the higher in the split seeding you will be.

What’s a Split?

A Split is used for our championship leagues and events and is based on our rating system as defined above, these are then used to put you in the correct class in our leagues, so you are always fighting with drivers around a similar level as yourself for points!

What is this PitSkill for?

The PitSkill system is in place to ensure our racing is fair, clean and close all the way through our leagues and championships, allowing us to continue improving our racing quality and push more of that “better racing” that we’re looking to bring to the Assetto Corsa Competizione racing community.

What about incidents?

Incidents are managed like any other post-race incidents are managed in our community, for full details please ensure to read our rules and regulations for information on how to report drivers in PitSkill races and what the punishments are, we use the PitSkill system to also ensure that any drivers that get into our leagues are safe, clean drivers, so ensure you report ANY drivers which you feel breach our rules!

This is in place to ensure that drivers are driving clean and fair and are not pushing themselves to the limits to try and improve their PitSkill, but are rather following our community ethos of clean, close racing.

What leagues can I join?

You can always see the limits on PitSkill on our championships page, once you’ve selected the championship, check if there are any limits on the PitSkill rank that’s allowed to join, then, follow the instructions and we’ll get you into the grid!

Our Assetto Corsa Competizione Leagues and Championships can be found at https://thepitcrew.co.uk/championships

Great! How do I get involved?

Simple, join our community on SimRacing.gp and drop by our discord, sign up to events in the series that you like and the system will take care of the rest!

Special thank you to Dale from New World Sim Racing for the initial development version of the system, if you’d like to race in an American Timezone league, check them out here: https://beta.simracing.gp/communities/ikG1uiyY6vvTGCTAL486M
